Hi , I was hoping you can help, I want to complain about charity fund raising in Glasgow who are working on behalf of cancer research UK and help the children, they are employing people to go round chapping doors asking people to set up a dd each month. I have no complaint about the job , its the company who call themselves home fund raising and are based in Glasgow.
They are taking on people like myself who are unemployed , making them pay there own fares to different areas to work without refunding it back then not paying wages for weeks later which is very expensive and hard when you have no money. The way they run there business is with two young girls who control training , payments and most other issues.From what I gather Cancer research is putting all money into one girls personal bank account and giving her control over who gets what and when which I think is very unprofessional and risky if not against the law. I only worked a few days because of the problems . They advertise the job as weekly paid which is funny if your not working there. All the people I worked with had not been paid for weeks which is one reason i left swiftly.

They havent paid what they owe me now for about three months and i am at my wits end with endless phone calls etc, they have all the excuses going eg talk to payroll , our systems are down etc and this is from the same two girls on the phone. It is a small office and there are no larger offices etc . I know this may not be exactly what you deal with but i would like to find out who can investigate this as many people will come forward who have been treated the same after hearing about it .
Any help would be appreciated.
